Anyone know anything about this?
In other news, Clyde Carpenter, Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (their highest honor for the national organization in charge of all architects and their professional registration) and chair of the Historic Preservation Graduate program at UK has been removed from the Historic Review Board by Mayor Newberry, citing reasons such as "he asked to be removed" (not true as Clyde discussed with me tonight) and "he already served a term" (which is fine, there is a two term limit not a one term limit). Then when questioned about why the new nominees to the board were not really qualified (one a PR person who heavily supported the Newberry camp(shame)paign and another a lawyer who supports the Webb Companies supposedly), he said that no qualified individuals were nominated (also not true, at least two architects with historic preservation backrounds were nominated)."
