Here are some more numbers from the Mason-Dixon poll showing Mitch McConnell and Bruce Lunsford dead even.
McConnell - 41%
Lunsford- 41%
With leaners
McConnell- 45%
Lunsford- 44%
And the reaction of the McConnell campaign? As always, CLASSY:
“The more they learn, the more Kentuckians will realize that Bruce is little more than an egotistical and greedy man ill-suited to protect anyone’s interests but his own,” he said.
*****
McConnell’s campaign dismissed the newspaper’s polling results, saying they “are as reliable and objective as their editorial page is fair and balanced.”
THAT, my friends, is desperation you can believe in. (so if you're keeping score now, Rasmussen, SUSA and Mason-Dixon are now ALL in the pocket of Bruce Lunsford and out to get poor Mitchie.... WATB) (and "egotistical and greedy"?... project much, Mitch?)
What do you say, Bruce?
“We’re headed in the wrong direction, and eight years of Bush-McConnell economics are at the very heart of the matter. We need change now, more than ever,” Lunsford said in a statement. “This will be a tight race up until the end, so we’re going to work hard every day until Election Day.”
More #'s:
"Strong" support:
McConnell - 60%
Lunsford - 43%
Might change mind:
McConnell - 16%
Lunsford- 20%
More numbery goodness:
Lunsford has an edge among women, while a plurality of men said they would vote for McConnell.
Lunsford polled strongest in the Louisville area, where he got more than 54 percent of the vote, while McConnell runs strongest in the Republican stronghold of south-central Kentucky, where he got 61 percent.
*********
The Bluegrass Poll found that 85 percent of likely voters believe the country is on the wrong track and only 9 percent said it was on the right track. That’s the highest percentage of people to say the country was on the wrong track since The Bluegrass Poll began asking the question in 1990.
Wonderful stuff. Hopefully Bruce will have a brand new wonderful attack ad for us on Monday too. Share on Facebook
