SUSA just released their first approvals poll for Mitch McConnell since May.... and it isn't pretty kids.
Whereas his approval/disapproval was 57%/37% in May, it has now plummeted to 44%/47%.
This thing is winnable, folks. (but in all seriousness, the fact that 44% of Kentuckians would actually approve of the job Mitch is doing is shocking/shameful...)
The crosstabs are even better. As I've said many times, as moderates go, so go McConnell's chances. Mitch has been consistently unpopular among KY moderates for the past year and a half of the SUSA tracking poll, but this poll shows a dramatic downturn in Mitch-love. His approval/disapproval among moderates is now 35%/60%. These both mark a record high and low for McConnell since SUSA began the tracking poll once a month in June of 2005. Add to this the fact that Lunsford hasn't really opened up the can of whoopass on Mitch in his campaing ads so far. Once these attack ads (truth ads, really) get going, even more Kentuckians will realize what a corrupt, Bush-loving, extreme fringe conservative Mitch McConnell really is.
Get to it, Bruce!
