Dan Mongiardo sides with King Coal and the Republican Party on Cap and Trade

If Dan Mongiardo gets into the United States Senate, he will be Ben Nelson and Joe Lieberman on steroids, trying to kneecap Democrats and Barack Obama on every issue imaginable. Complete with coal stains.

Mongiardo Takes Strong Stand Against ‘Cap-and-Trade’

FRANKFORT – Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Daniel Mongiardo announced his opposition today to the “Cap-and-Trade” provisions of H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009.

Citing the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), Mongiardo said the bill would dramatically increase electric rates in Kentucky on working families and businesses over the next ten years. Mongiardo said, “While I believe global climate change is real, placing a huge energy tax on the backs of Kentucky’s working families and businesses is not the answer.”

i.e., "global warming is real, but I don't give a shit about it"

Let it be known that those who want Dan Mongiardo in the Senate want him there precisely so that he will undercut the agenda of Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. He will be the politician that Fox News runs to in order to find a Democrat who is willing to criticize Democrats and spout Republican talking points.

Seriously, if you want to vote for Dan Mongiardo, why not just vote for Jim Bunning or Trey Grayson or Bill Caylor... you'd be getting the real thing that way.
