More and better Democrats! Give Jack Conway some turkee!

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of seeing conservative "Democrats" like Ben Nelson continue to derail the progressive agenda in Washington, DC.

And sending another Ben Nelson to the United State Senate isn't my idea of change.

Kentucky Democrats, Liberals, Progressives and Independents have a choice: we can either

(1) send Dan Mongiardo to the Senate and watch him shill for King Coal, vote like a social conservative nightmare, and undermine President Obama's agenda, or

(2) we can send a progressive who is going to stand with Obama and work towards a more just, fair and safe America.

If option #2 sounds better to you, please step up to the plate today for KY Attorney General and Democratic Senate candidate Jack Conway.

Today is the last day of the 2nd quarter for fundraising, so if you'd like to step up and send a message that Kentucky isn't a state full of people who want to flatten our mountains, pollute our waterways, and stamp out the "scourge" of tolerance towards gays, please consider throwing $5, $10, or whatever you can spare today for Jack Conway.

I've set up a fundraising page for Jack Conway on ActBlue, especially for the KY progressive online/blogging community to let our voice be heard. Just today (so far), we've raised almost $200. Not too shabby, but let's see how many small donors we can get in before the deadline tonight. $5 is perfectly fine if thats all you can spare, the important messsage that you can send is that Kentuckians are desperate to send a real change agent to Washington, not a politician who is going to sell out gays or our environment or any other KY constituency that he feels he can throw under the bus for cheap political gain or King Coal executive donations of $2, 400 a pop.
