Seriously, what is with this guy?
In 2007, Ben was the bluest of Blue Dogs, poking me in the chest and such, winning the Most Spineless KY Democrat Rootie.
Then in 2008, Ben was just phenomenal. On mountaintop removal, Iraq, FISA, endorsing Barack Obama early... it was just night and day.
But last Friday, Ben Chandler took what is probably his boldest move yet, voting for the American Clean Energy and Security Act. To be quite honest, I was shocked by this vote.
Chandler faced heavy pressure from the global warming-deniers, who made a heavy pitch to flood his office with phone calls last week.
But he didn't listen to them, instead he stood up for what was right, for the future of our state/country/world.
I encourage you all to contact Congressman Chandler and thank him personally for stepping up and doing the right thing. Just as it was important to criticize him in 2007, it is important to thank and commend him in 2009 as he sticks his neck out for what is right.

You are literally a MORON. Chandler is a traitor by voting for Cap & Trade. I hope you're prepared for a HUGE tax increase. Fuck Chandler, he just lost his seat in the House.
A literal moron meaning the category of the discredited intelligence scale of the late 1800's roughly equivalent to an IQ of 50-70, or do you mean one of a half dozen or so cities in Cuba, Argentica, Hati, Mongolia, California and Venezuela named Moron? Note, there's commies in some of those places, so it might work either way.
Anxiously awaiting clarification,
Anon.
When President Obama got caught turning the White House thermostat up to 82 degrees ( David Axelrod joked you could grow orchids in there) we were told that he is, after all, from Hawaii. Funny, I thought he was from Chicago. Anywhoo, what is Jack Conway's position on cap and trade? In fact, what the hell is Conway's position on anything at all?
