Just got this in my inbox from the students responsible for the guerrilla sign shenanigans against Lee Todd and his Wildcat Coal buddies.

In response to the naming of the new “Wildcat Coal Lodge” students staged a multi-banner drop for campus. This drop was intended to illustrate the corporatization of campus. For example, a banner reading “Your Ad Here” was hung at Memorial Hall.
Overall there were 6 banners and one poster throughout campus. These banners were hung at 4am and were removed by 5:30am.
The fact that they are no longer there illustrates that Student voices have been stifled yet again. Goodbye institute of higher learning, hello UK: corporate billboard.

While I am indifferent with the issue. I do have a hate for UKs waste of my tax dollars and how they generally operate.
I must say this is a very cool protest. Smart move with the Colbert Nation. Good chance of getting some publicity out of that one.

Tip to our anonymous protester. Make a sign out of a bed sheet. then attach two home made bolas on each corner. In a pinch two pairs of old shoes will do but it is not as easy to throw. Make sure you stagger the lengths of the weights on the bolas as it makes it easier to get it to spin and wrap around whatever you are throwing it at. Find a good power line. preferably one that goes over a busy intersection near campus. Slimestone????? Practice throwing with a buddy in a field. you want to be even with the same trajectory as nothing is worse then catching only one bola and being screwed with a sign dangling in one corner. RAICM

That's the fastest the UK PPD has ever done anything. They usually can't change a light bulb without putting up a few hundred yards of orange fencing and digging a hole.

My suggestion is they should set that big block of coal on fire in front of the KCA office. Just a suggestion
